The 2024 Wimbledon Championships will run from Monday 1st July to Sunday 14th July.

What time does Wimbledon start?

Play starts at around 1100-1200 on the outside courts and at 1300 on Centre Court and Number One Court with exception of the final two days of the competition (ladies’ and men’s finals), when play begins at 2 pm. Please do check the Wimbledon schedule the night before you attend as timings can occasionally change.

How many courts are in Wimbledon?

There are currently 20 grass courts used for play during the Wimbledon Championships. There are also five red shale courts, four clay courts and five indoor courts for club members.

When is the Wimbledon final?

The 2024 ladies’ final will be played on Saturday 13th July while the men’s final will be played on Sunday 14th July.

How big is the queue for Wimbledon?

For anyone without tickets or hospitality packages the prospect of queueing can be a daunting one. Some 2000+ people are thought to join the queue every day, many of whom will have set up camp overnight in Wimbledon Park with tents, chairs, books, food and drinks. 500 Centre Court tickets, 500 Court One tickets and 500 Court Two tickets are made available each morning to those in the queue.  Everyone is given a dated and numbered queue cards and wristbands to denote your position. Centre Court tickets are not available to those in the queue for the final 4 days of play meaning you will need a ballot ticket, debenture ticket or hospitality package.
